Hellingly mental asylum is located in the heart of the Sussex countryside,its a fine example of G.T Hines architecture
but is also sadly the most heavily smashed up example of his work,the aim of this site is to convey to you what remains and
so to this end i have created this site to give you an idea of what it looked like when it was open.
The first thing i guess i should point out is that this place is HUGE !!! - it had its own RAILWAY STATION for one thing,when
myself and my sidekick T Bag B decided to explore and document Hellingly asylum we where suprised at the sheer scale of the
site despite having done some research.The previous night we had inbibed fine whisky and watched the film Session 9
which is great preperation for a days Urban Exploration,we had a rough idea of the sites location so brimming over with a
heady mixture of enthusiasm/hangover we set out for the village of Hellingly itself - figuring we would find the place from
there.
